Class Action Post Bar Clerk

Location: Burbank, CA (Hybrid – Remote & In-Person as Needed)

Department: Class Action Litigation

Employment Type: Full-Time | Non-Exempt

Salary Range: $70,000 – $80,000 annually (DOE)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Class Action Post Bar Clerk to join our Class Action Litigation Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent law school graduate awaiting bar exam results or admission who has a strong interest in employment law and class actions. Working under the direct supervision of licensed attorneys, you will gain hands-on experience in all stages of litigation while building your skills in legal research, writing, and case strategy in preparation for your career as a class action attorney.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting pleadings, including complaints, oppositions to motions to compel arbitration, and motions for settlement approval, for attorney review.
• Draft written discovery requests and responses under attorney supervision.
• Conduct legal research and prepare case law summaries and memoranda.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations alongside supervising attorneys (primarily virtual; occasional in-person appearances required).
• Support client contact, including case updates, witness preparation, and settlement discussions, under attorney direction.
• Assist with settlement negotiations and case strategy sessions.
• Organize and manage case files to ensure deadlines are met and work product is of the highest quality.

Qualifications

Required:

• J.D. from an accredited law school; California Bar exam taken with results pending, or awaiting formal admission.
• Demonstrated interest in employment law and/or class action litigation.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Commitment to client advocacy and professional growth.

Preferred (Nice to Have):

• Bilingual in Spanish.
• Prior experience in employment law or class action litigation (including internships or clinics).
