Dermatology Advanced Practice Provider- New Ulm

Job Summary Allina Health is a not‑for‑profit health system that cares for individuals, families and communities throughout Minnesota and western Wisconsin. In New Ulm, Minnesota a Dermatology Advanced Practice Provider will deliver clinical care and support patients in dermatology, serving a hospital and multiple clinic sites. Key Position Details Location: 1324 5th St N, New Ulm, MN 56073-1514 Shift: Day (U.S.) – 8‑hour, 32hrswk FTE: .8 (may increase with growth) Responsibilities Provides clinical care for patients. Completes comprehensive patient assessments, determines diagnosis and treatment of illness. Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician. Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment. Conducts patient education for chronic illness or wellness care. Refers for specialty care when needed. Consults with physicians for cases outside physician assistant scope or unclear treatment plans. Participates in health‑care team, promotes communication, acts as resource to team members. Works with primary‑care team for program development and acts as liaison with outside agencies as needed. Collaborates with hospital staff by consulting and rounding on patients if designated. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Master’s degree – completion of accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program. New graduates considered with experience or a completed dermatology rotation. Licenses / Certifications Licensed Physician Assistant – MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire. ACLS‑BLS Tier2 – multisource required within 180days. Certification as Physician Assistant – NCCPA required upon hire. DEA registration required upon hire. Physical Demands Medium work: lifting weight up to 32lbs. occasionally, up to 25lbs. frequently (per Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy). Pay Range $140,000–$170,000 per year, starting base pay for full‑time FTE. Rate may vary by experience, education and union agreement.
