Description:
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Hematology/Oncology.
This is an outpatient-focused oncology practice with inpatient collaboration as needed.
You will manage patients with solid tumors and hematologic malignancies.
Collaboration with hematologist/oncologists, infusion teams, nurse navigators, and support services is essential.
The practice utilizes an electronic medical record system for coordinated and connected care.
Support staff will be available to assist you.
You will be expected to cover 2-3 shifts per month.
The patient population includes all ages, with an average of 11-16 patients per day.
The practice provides broad outpatient oncology and hematology services.
You will treat patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive oncology therapies.
There is access to clinical trials and advanced cancer therapies when eligible.
The working environment includes a dedicated outpatient clinic attached to an infusion department.
You will work alongside a multidisciplinary care team, which includes an oncology nurse navigator and infusion nursing team.
All supportive services are integrated within the practice, including behavioral health and rehabilitation services.
This position offers the opportunity to practice full-spectrum medical oncology and hematology while valuing continuity of care and relationships.
You will have access to telehealth specialty care and cancer rehabilitation services.
Team support including financial counseling and survivorship care are available to assist patients throughout their treatment journey.
