LEGAL MANAGER POSTION REF NUMBER: ADAHRM03/2025 Job Title: Legal Manager : Ref Number: ADAHRM03/2025 Location: 5 Cascades Crescent, Pietermaritzburg Salary Level: L12 (Fixed Term Contract) Type of Employment: Fixed term contract for 36 months Reporting Line: Chief Executive Officer Unit: Office of the CEO Minimum Requirements An undergraduate SAQA recognised qualification Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or B. Proc degree Admitted as an attorney or an advocate Valid driver's license Experience Minimum of 6 years' post-qualification legal experience of which at least 3 years of experience at a middle level Previous experience in the position of an attorney, advocate or legal advisor preferred. Experience in a government entity or corporate preferred. Experience in providing legal advice on the regulatory frameworks applicable to government entities preferred. Proven track-record and experience in providing legal advice on a broad-range of matters. Knowledge Knowledge of applicable legal prescripts. Proven knowledge of litigation and court procedure. Regulatory compliance and corporate governance. Policy drafting, application, and review. Contract, drafting, negotiation and review. Employment/labour law knowledge. Property law knowledge. Contract law Key Performance Areas Manage litigation on behalf of ADA Provision of legal advice and opinions Interpretation and application of legislation affecting ADA Policy drafting and review Contract drafting and contract management Monitoring legal compliance Important Conditions All applicants are subject to the signing of performance agreement.
