CIVIL ENGINEERING (STRUCTURAL DESIGN)

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a motivated Civil Engineering graduate in Fort Worth, TX. In this dynamic and high-growth role, you will be responsible for developing high-quality structural design solutions alongside a top structural engineering firm. In this Structural Design Engineering job youll be responsible for:

• Assisting with structural design and analysis for residential and light commercial projects, with a focus on foundations and framing systems (wood, steel, and concrete).
• Preparing and detailing structural calculations, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Modeling structural framing systems and foundation components using design software and code standards.
• Collaborating with senior engineers, architects, draftspersons, and contractors to ensure accurate and buildable designs.
• Reviewing shop drawings and submittals for structural compliance during construction administration.

What youll need:

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (Required).
• Relevant coursework in structural analysis, steel design, and concrete design (Required).
• Strong passion for structural design and drafting fundamentals.
• 12 years of hands-on structural design experience or design-focused internships (Ideal).
• EIT certification or eligibility/intent to take the FE exam (Preferred).
