Want to test your capabilities on a variety of challenging construction projects? Tri-North Builders is looking for an experienced Traveling Superintendent to join its awesome team.

In the role of Traveling Superintendent, you'll be on the road helping build some of our most interesting projects. Please note, regular travel is required for this role. Being located in Wisconsin is not required for the role of traveling superintendent. A Traveling Superintendent role requires being on your feet most of the day and the ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Primary Expectations for the Role:

• Manage day-to-day onsite construction operations for projects of varying scope and size

• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Deliver high-quality work while minimizing issues during and after project completion
• Act as the onsite leader representing company standards and expectations
• Ensure quality construction standards
• Understand and follow company policies and best practices
• Review work progress on a daily basis

• Maintain and communicate project schedules and updates

• Provide and manage 3-week look-ahead schedules
• Monitor productivity and efficiency of onsite work

• Optimize use of equipment, materials, and labor
• Foster a positive and productive jobsite environment
• Plan daily activities to maximize efficiency and productivity

The ideal candidate willbe able to:

• Travel regularly to jobsites around the country
• Operate as a self-sufficient leader capable of managing any assigned project, while being willing to ask for help when needed
• Maintain regular and proactive communication with project teams, including clients
• Understand how individual decisions impact company-wide outcomes
• Approach each day with a team-oriented growth mindset

• Stay highly organized
• Anticipate and solve problems effectively
• Run a safe jobsite with minimal incidents or violations
• Ensure all projects are completed in high quality, with minimal rework or punchlist items
