Job Overview
- Role Summary: Support large-scale production of high-quality baked Bars and Blocks specifically formulated for squirrels.
- Schedule: Full-time (typically 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday or Sunday through Thursday).
- Key Focus Areas: Baking, cutting finished products, packaging, cleaning & maintaining equipment, managing inventory
Key Responsibilities
- Baking & Production: Closely follow product formulas to measure out wet & dry ingredients. Roll out doughs into sheet pans for baking. Use water jet, or in some cases knives, to cut products for cooling & later packaging.
- Packaging & Shipping: Package finished items in stand-up pouches for retail sale. Use conveyor heat sealer with batch code imprinting. Prepare orders for shipping or local distribution.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels of raw materials like walnuts, pecans, and specialized vitamins. Report low inventory to management. Unload ingredient deliveries.
- Sanitation & Safety: Maintain a clean, pest-free facility. Deep clean industrial mixers, sheet pans, and ovens. Follow strict food safety standards to prevent contamination.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Previous commercial kitchen, production line, or warehouse experience is highly preferred.
- Skills: Excellent stamina for repetitive tasks. Ability to follow precise written directions for baked goods. Strong attention to detail.
- Physical Demands: Stand for full 8-hour shifts. Lift up to 50 pounds. Handle warm baking equipment safely.
