SeaState Land Services is looking to hire 6 skilled slab masons who are familiar with residential construction in the Tampa/Sarasota area. A qualified candidate would need to have atleast 2 years of experience in residential concrete masonry and have reliable transportation to work. Below is a comprehensive list of skills and responsibilities that this position will require.
- Set forms and prepare sites for slab pours on residential and commercial projects
- Place, level, and finish concrete for slabs, sidewalks, driveways, and foundations
- Operate hand and power tools (trowels, screeds, floats, etc.) safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints and site plans to ensure accurate layout and dimensions
- Monitor curing process and perform finishing work (edging, jointing, sealing)
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to company safety standards
- Collaborate with crew members and assist with related site tasks as needed
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a slab mason or concrete finisher
- Proven ability to set forms, pour, and finish concrete slabs to a high standard
- Experience with both residential and commercial slab work preferred
- Ability to read construction plans and use masonry/concrete tools
- Reliable transportation to job sites (required)
- Physically able to lift 50+ lbs, work outdoors, and stand for long periods
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to quality
