Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Tow Pound Lot Patrol in NEW YORK, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government vehicle impound location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors with professionalism and clear communication. You will support a welcoming, orderly environment while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and/or authorized vehicle owners while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
- Monitor access points, gates, and vehicle storage areas; verify authorization as directed by site procedures and report unauthorized access concerns.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of tow yard areas, perimeter fencing, parking areas, offices, and access routes to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Respond to incidents, disputes, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for incidents, patrols, visitor interactions, and observed conditions.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
