Jim Brangham Auto Repair – Cathedral City, CA

Jim Brangham Auto Repair has proudly served the Coachella Valley since 1994. We are a busy, well-established STAR Certified Smog Test & Repair Facility looking for an experienced Smog Test & Repair Technician to join our growing team.
If you're a dependable technician who enjoys diagnostics, emissions repair, and working in a professional environment with a strong reputation, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do:
- Perform California Smog Inspections.
- Diagnose and repair emissions-related failures.
- Perform drivability and Check Engine Light diagnostics.
- Complete repairs accurately the first time.
- Communicate findings clearly with our Service Advisors.
- Follow shop procedures and quality control processes.
- Stay current on California emissions regulations.
Qualifications:
- Current California Smog Repair License required.
- ASE Certifications are a plus (L1 highly desired but not required).
- Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
- Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years old (insurance requirements).
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug testing.
