Architectural Revit Technician

Education Level2 Year Degree## DescriptionThe Drafting Department creates 3d Models, drawings and production tickets for the use in making precast concrete products. As the Revit Technician progresses in skillset, they will be called upon to do more training, checking, design and troubleshooting. The Revit Technician may be called upon to assist other departments as needed or directed by their Team Lead or Management. **Essential Functions** • Work full time, with some overtime or Saturday work • Work proficiently with AutoCAD, Revit, ACC Docs, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite. • Verbal and written communication skills • Demonstrated organizational skills • Work under pressure and meet deadlines • Work independently and stay on task despite daily interruptions • Excellent attendance • Strong attention to detail • Comply with all company policies, procedures and safety requirements. • Perform other duties as assigned by your Team Lead and Management **Onsite** • Sioux Falls, SD Office o 49 miles or less from residence to the Office Address. **• Hybrid** o 50 – 100 miles from residence to the Office Address. o Must have at least 1-year precast drafting experience. o Not available to Revit Technicians in Training. o Must have adequate office space, desk, chair, high-speed internet connection and a distraction-free environment. o Available during normal office or plant operating hours. **• Remote** o 100 miles + from residence to the Office Address. o Must have at least 2 years precast drafting experience in which the previous precast firm produced precast products on site. o Not Available to Revit Technicians in Training. o Must have adequate office space, desk, chair, high-speed internet connection and a distraction-free environment. o Available during normal office or plant operating hours. **Hybrid and Remote note** Hybrid and Remote work is not a substitute for appropriate child and/or elder care. Molin Sioux Falls may require remote team members to submit written proof that they have arranged for adequate dependent care during working hours.## QualificationsRevit Technician • Demonstrated a mastery of a Revit Technician in Training. • Demonstrated ability to build layouts, elevations, sections and FC’s during shop drawing process for both structural and architectural projects. • Is familiar with all finishes and finish details, mix changes, returns etc. • Understand basic handling hardware and proprietary cast in materials • Understand the products enough to alert engineering to non-typical situations~ nonstandard handling lengths, situations where connections/embeds will not work, panels with less than two gravities, and four lateral ties etc. • Ability to review and understand Molin Sioux Falls products for interfaces with other materials for tolerances notches required, connections etc. Identify the need for additional details and sections, as job requires. • Ability to have minimal redlines on checked items. All pieces can be checked from layouts without computer use. • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and deadlines with moderate supervision.**Education, Training and Experience** • Degree from technical school or equivalent experience and a demonstrated ability of Revit Technician in Training knowledge, skills and abilities **Work Context** • Regularly works in an office environment. • Occasionally works near moving objects and in climate conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity and exposure to dust and concrete • Safety/Steel toe boots and safety glasses required when working in the plant or visiting a job site.DISCLAIMER The above information on this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees with this classification.
