Seasonal Groundskeeper

Seasonal Groundskeeper Seasonal Groundskeeper at Xavier University: part‑time position, 40 hours per week, employment period April 2026 through October 2026. This posting identifies applicants interested in contributing to Xavier’s mission during a defined seasonal period in support of campus needs. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. Seasonal employment is based on project timelines, departmental priorities, and available funding, and is limited to the duration of the 2026 seasonal period. Responsibilities With appropriate personal protective equipment, the Temporary Groundskeeper will operate hand and power tools to cut, trim, edge grass, turf, prune trees and shrubs, trim hedges, mulch, pull weeds, and apply chemicals. Maintain athletic fields by dragging, laying out, lining and painting. Keep university grounds clean (e.g., pick up papers and other debris; operate a variety of equipment to clean sidewalks, steps, patios, and parking lots when necessary). Follow all established safety procedures. Work outside in all-weather conditions; work with potentially dangerous equipment and chemicals; be exposed to dirt, dust, fumes, noise, and elements.
