In this role, you'll help ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting while partnering with leaders across the business to support decision-making, improve processes, and strengthen business performance.

You'll lead a team, provide insights that help connect financial results to operational outcomes, and support initiatives that impact the business. The role offers broad exposure to operations, finance, and business leadership and is well suited for someone who enjoys understanding how a business works and wants to grow their responsibilities beyond traditional accounting.

What You'll Do and Impact

Accounting Management, Analysis and Reporting

You'll work closely with leaders across the business to help them understand financial performance and make informed decisions. In addition to ensuring accurate financial reporting, you'll provide analysis and insights that support operational improvements, resource allocation, and long-term business objectives.

• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing process.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording, analysis, and reporting of financial transactions in compliance with applicable accounting guidelines.
• Prepare management reporting and communicate financial results and key business insights effectively.
• Analyze financial performance and business trends, providing insights and recommendations that support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Partner with business leaders to translate financial results into actionable insights that support planning, resource allocation, and performance improvement.
• Leverage available tools and technologies to analyze data, improve processes, and enhance business decision-making.

Team Leadership and Development

Success in this role requires balancing strong financial oversight with effective people leadership. You'll play an important role in developing team members, strengthening processes, and creating an environment where people can do their best work and continue to grow.

• Help employees understand the financial impact of business decisions, identify key business drivers, and strengthen financial awareness across the organization.
• Lead and develop the accounting team through coaching, mentoring, feedback, and career development while helping build both technical expertise and business knowledge within the function.
• Partner with the Business Unit Controller to plan, prioritize, assign, and direct departmental work while fostering accountability, engagement, and team success.
• Support the ongoing development of the team by creating opportunities for learning, growth, and increased responsibility.

Cross Functional Collaboration

This role works closely with teams across the business to understand challenges, identify opportunities, and support initiatives that improve both financial performance and operational effectiveness. Success comes from building strong relationships and developing a practical understanding of how different parts of the business operate.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives, continuous improvement efforts, and organizational objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field along with a minimum of five years of broad accounting experience. CPA or equivalent designation is preferred.
• ERP and Financial Reporting software experience required; Great Plains experience is beneficial.

• Experience supporting or leading ERP system migrations is highly preferred

• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency required.

The annual base salary range for this position is $110,000 - 120,000 annually. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. The company considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
