Self-Direction DSP - Syracuse Area (Job #SSM-IN)

ARISE is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide Community Habilitation services to a 42-year-old gentleman with a developmental disability. He lives in a group home on the west side of Syracuse. He and his family are looking for a dedicated DSP to provide support and assist him with working on his goals in various community settings.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting him to pursue his hobbies and interests by accompanying and supporting him during community outings
• Assisting him to volunteer
• Teaching safety skills
• Providing transportation daily

We are looking for individuals who are dependable, patient and enthusiastic.


Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities a plus. Reliable transportation and a HS diploma/GED are required.


Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency.


Training provided.

Schedule: Monday through Friday/9:00am-3:00pm (30 hours per week)

Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour (plus mileage reimbursement)
