Paralegal

Clayton Services is searching for a Paralegal to join a growing financial services organization in Houston. The Paralegal will support legal and operational teams by preparing legal documentation, coordinating case activity, maintaining litigation calendars, and managing administrative processes associated with commercial recovery matters. Job Type: Direct Hire Pay Rate: $22.00 - $28.00/hour Benefits: Medical, vision, life insurance, 401(k), PTO, paid holidays, and advancement opportunities. Paralegal Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain legal and operational case files Draft correspondence, notices, legal documents, and supporting case materials Coordinate filing activities and manage litigation-related deadlines Maintain calendars for legal events, hearings, and case milestones Review, organize, and track case documentation Manage electronic filing activities and document submissions Assist with client reporting and status updates Support attorneys and legal operations personnel with administrative projects Coordinate communications with third parties, vendors, and outside counsel Maintain accurate records and database information Assist with general office administration and document management functions Paralegal Skills and Abilities: Strong legal document preparation and proofreading skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Strong organizational and file management skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities Detail-oriented with exceptional accuracy Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Strong time management and follow-through skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Ability to coordinate and manage legal calendars and case deadlines Strong administrative and project coordination abilities Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment Experience utilizing legal case management, document management, or CRM systems preferred Paralegal Education and Experience: Associate's degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred Minimum 3 years of legal support, legal assistant, paralegal, or related experience required Paralegal certification strongly preferred Experience supporting litigation, collections, creditor rights, bankruptcy, commercial law, or related legal practice areas preferred Electronic filing (e-filing) experience strongly preferred Experience preparing legal correspondence, pleadings, motions, notices, and supporting documentation preferred Experience coordinating with attorneys, clients, courts, and third-party vendors preferred Experience utilizing legal case management software, document management systems, or Salesforce preferred Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required Paralegal - Immediate need.
