General Manufacturing Laborer-Day Shift (Bonus Eligible)

Job Description Position Title: Entry Level Manufacturing Laborer Production Associate (Corrugated Box Manufacturing Facility) Pay Rate: $21.15/hr. up to $23.15/hr. Sign-on Bonus

• 500 after 30 days
• 500 after 6 months

Must meet eligibility requirements for Bonus Category/Shift: Day Shift Available 7am-7pm 24/7 Work Schedule (Sun, Mon, Wed, Thurs - Week 1 / Tues, Fri, Sat - Week 2) Hourly Full‑Time Physical Location: San Antonio Central Container, 1111 Frost Bank Center Dr., San Antonio, TX 78219 The Job You Will Perform Follow all safety rules and practices Learn customer requirements and specifications by reading factory work orders, print cards, and design specifications Coordinate activities with other machine crew members to efficiently set up and run orders Maintain quality and production standards as required by the company Perform set up functions as directed by the operator; such as removing and attaching cutting dies, zeroing and opening / closing the machine, raising, autosetting, and lowering the prefeeder, setting the stacker and counter‑ejector portions of the machine, recovering ink and washing ink filters, installing inks, cleaning, setting, and adjusting the glue application system, and completing paperwork, while continuously balancing work with the operator Continuously monitor the quality and quantity of production Use available time to prepare for set ups and runs by obtaining protection sheets, obtaining and asiding tooling, ink, and other supplies, and tearing apart pallet cards Perform assigned clean up functions, such as blowing down the machine, wiping off shafts, cleaning ink systems, vacuuming and sweeping the machine area, and picking up and asiding miscellaneous scrap Perform minor cutting die repairs Perform quality inspections and tests, and record findings Learn operator duties and responsibilities Follow prescribed practices in all circumstances Perform other duties as assigned by supervision The Skills You Will Bring Ability to perform the duties / responsibilities of the job with or without accommodation Ability to read, write, and speak English Ability to accurately read a measuring tape and ruler Ability to use basic shop math Ability to learn Ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team To Qualify For The Position Stable Verifiable Work History (Recent) Minimum 6 Months Experience in a Manufacturing Environment Preferred The Benefits You Will Enjoy International Paper offers a benefits package that includes health, welfare and retirement plans including Medical, Dental, Life insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, Short‑term and Long‑term Disability, 401(k), Company‑funded retirement contributions, Paid Time Off, Education & Development (including Tuition Reimbursement), Student Loan Repayment Assistance, and Voluntary Benefits including insurance for home, auto, vision and pets International Paper is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
