Instrumentation Specialist

Our client, an established engineering and technology company serving the renewable fuels and process industries, is hiring an Instrumentation Specialist to join its engineering team. This is a design-focused role that’s great for a recent graduate or early-career technician who wants to build a career in instrumentation and controls.

What You’ll Do

\n
• Develop instrument take-offs from P&IDs and other design documents
\n
• Prepare instrument data sheets, loop diagrams, and instrumentation specifications
\n
• Support control design and electrical specification work for industrial projects
\n
• Help troubleshoot technical issues and support field teams as projects move from design to construction
\n
• Gather and review vendor quotes, and support procurement of instruments and equipment
\n
• Assist with proposals and project budgets for instrumentation scopes
\n
• Learn the team’s project tools, including Procore
\n

What You Bring

\n
• An associate’s degree in engineering, electrical, instrumentation, or automation technology
\n
• 0–3 years of experience. Recent grads with relevant coursework, internships, or co-ops are encouraged to apply.
\n
• Some exposure to P&IDs, loop drawings, DCS, or AutoCAD is a plus
\n
• Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) is helpful
\n
• Industrial plant experience is a bonus but not required
\n
• Strong attention to detail, solid math and problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn
\n
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel up to 15%
\n
