Benefits: 401(k) matching Health insurance Paid time off Tuition assistance Primrose of Manhattan at 350 East 82nd Street As a Lead Preschool Teacher working with 2 – 5‑year‑olds at Primrose of Manhattan at East 82nd Street , you’ll create a fun, safe environment with a daily schedule designed to develop children’s confidence and independence. You’ll help guide these little ones through small group instruction as they grow their ability to absorb new content and understand increasingly complex information. Benefits: Set Schedule- Closed Weekends, Nights and Holidays PTO 40 Hours Accrued each year Paid week off: Summer Break (week of 4th of July) Winter Break (week of Christmas) Paid Sick Leave Additional Paid Holidays $225/month toward select United Health Care medical plans Guardian Vision/Dental plans Retirement Plan- 401(K) with 100% match up to 4% salary contribution after 6 months employment Tuition Assistance for CDA, Associates or Bachelors programs related to ECE and/or Elementary Education Bonus Opportunities Required Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field required , MS in Early Childhood Education preferred Valid NYS B-2 Teaching Certificate or study plan eligible 2 years of classroom teaching experience required CPR / First Aid certified required Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children in childcare, daycare, or preschool setting Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. Must be at least 21 years of age. Make a difference every day. Spend your days building genuine relationships with each child. Help children learn about language and literacy, science, life skills, and more. Work with your co‑teacher to implement the lesson plans from the research‑informed Balanced Learning® curriculum.
