Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and senior patients utilizing standardized assessments and skilled observational methods.
• Create customized treatment plans that align with both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions targeting communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing.
• Team up with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to build effective care strategies.
• Provide education to patients and families to bolster growth and success outside therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
• Diligently maintain documentation that complies with relevant state, federal, and agency regulations.
• Keep abreast of the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Educational Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA certified.

Certification Criteria

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first 30 days of employment.
