Job Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Create customized treatment plans that focus on achieving both immediate and long-lasting communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver direct speech therapy interventions that enhance communication abilities, language skills, fluency, voice dynamics, and swallowing functions.
• Work in tandem with a variety of healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and caregivers, ensuring a unified approach to patient care.
• Provide education to patients and their families to foster progress and understanding beyond the clinical environment.
• Carry out occasional assessments and interventions for inpatient speech therapy, maintaining a continuum of care throughout treatment.
• Ensure precise and timely documentation in compliance with applicable regulations and organizational policies.
• Remain updated on the latest developments in the field via continuous education and collaborative learning with peers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already certified by ASHA.

Licenses and Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within the first month of employment.
