Description

• Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments and observational insights.
• Create customized treatment strategies that cater to both short-term objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focused on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Team up with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop cohesive and comprehensive care plans.
• Provide education for patients and families to bolster progress outside of scheduled clinical sessions.
• Assist with sporadic inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the treatment spectrum.
• Maintain prompt and precise documentation consistent with state, federal, and organizational protocols.
• Remain informed on advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with colleagues.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
