Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for a position located in Stanford, California. This role involves performing decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and storage of surgical instrumentation and supplies. The technician will support departmental safety initiatives, inventory management, and quality improvement activities.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Evening shifts from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent, ability to clean, sterilize, assemble, and store medical supplies and equipment following established standards and procedures, knowledge of surgical instrumentation, sterilization practices, and supply management, and certification as a CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) within 1 year or CSPDT (Sterile Process/Dist Tech).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with surgical instrument processing, case cart assembly, and inventory control.
• Additional Information: The role requires effective communication, respectful relationships with a diverse population, confidentiality, and adherence to policies regarding sterilization methods, supply distribution, and regulatory standards such as those from the Joint Commission. The technician will participate in departmental quality assurance, safety policy compliance, and may assist with training new staff.
