Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Sioux City, Iowa.

Contract Details

• Location: Sioux City, IA
• Orientations Available: 11/23 or 12/7
• Schedule: Every other weekend required
• On-Call: No Call
• Charting System: EPIC

Unit Scope & Clinical Skillset

• Facility Scale: Level 3 Trauma Center
• Ratios: 1:4 (can flex up to 1:5)
• Patient Population: Heavy cardiac and neuro focus including CHF, Ablation, Angiogram, TCAR, EVAR, DKA, Stroke, Pacemaker, and Sepsis.

Requirements & Certifications

• Experience: 2+ years of PCU experience required. First-time travelers are accepted!
• Licensure: Active Iowa (IA) or multi-state Compact RN license.
• Required Certifications:
  • AHA BLS (ARC or Military accepted)
  • AHA ACLS (ARC or Military accepted)
  • NIHSS (Stroke Certification)

CRITICAL Compliance, Radius & Float Rules

• UPH Employment Rule: Candidates cannot have worked as an FTE or PRN employee at any UnityPoint Health (UPH) facility within the past 12 months. (Prior UPH travelers are exempt and eligible).
• Strict 50-Mile Radius: Candidates must live at least 50 miles away from the facility, strictly verified by the address on their driver's license.
• Heavy Float Expectations: Travelers must be willing to float to the ED, all inpatient areas, and potentially across local campuses within the PCU discipline.
• Fast Interviews: The manager moves quickly via phone call/text from a 405 area code—ensure your candidates know to answer!
