General Laborer (Clinton)

Manufacturing & Operations Job Opportunity

Responsibilities:

• Monitor equipment and perform quality checks to meet customer requirements.
• Ensure the safety of our partners and our food by following good manufacturing practices and wearing safety equipment.
• Be flexible to work varying shifts, including weekends, off-shifts, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Primary - Essential Functions:

• Perform all process checks required for the position.
• Follow reaction plans for food safety, food quality, and customer requirement deviations.
• Identify and understand customer requirements.
• Perform manual labor tasks such as inspection, rework, and sort operations as needed.
• Demonstrate teamwork and compliance with plant policies and procedures.
• Utilize process excellence tools to improve plant performance.
• Maintain a satisfactory attendance record and be willing to work in other general labor positions as needed.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
• Maintain regular attendance.

Non-Essential Functions:

• Willing to perform assigned duties and manage multiple priorities.
• Demonstrate interpersonal relations and deductive logic.
• Show dependability and goal-oriented behavior.
• Be adaptable and have a strong work ethic.

Interacting Relationship:

• Interacts with team advisors, operators, and other production partners. Requires good communication and writing skills, and the ability to work well with others as a team player.

Expectations / Standards / Training Requirements:

• Complete tasks as assigned by leaders and others according to expectations.
• Possess basic math, counting, calculator, and basic computer skills.
• Forklift driving skills may be necessary.
• Training can generally be completed in a 6-week period or less.

Physical Demands:

• Stand up to 12 hours per day.
• Walk up to 50 minutes per hour.
• Sit up to 15 minutes per hour.
• Work in cold, hot, or wet environments up to 12 hours per day.
• Lift/carry up to 50 pounds up to 4 times per hour.
• Lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Bend/squat/twist up to 15 minutes per hour.
• Ability to lift and reach shoulder height and above repetitively frequently.
• Ability to climb steps/ladders and work at heights occasionally.
• Ability to quickly access different areas of the plant frequently.

Requirements:

• Ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures.
• Proficiency in reading and comprehension of the English language is required.
• At least two years of manufacturing experience is preferred.
• This job may require you to operate an electronic pallet jack and/or a forklift and work in cold and/or hot conditions.
• This position requires passing a post-offer background check, physical, and drug screen.
