Job Summary and Responsibilities Full‑time Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) needed for our West Seattle clinic, part of VMFH Women’s Health. Responsibilities include full‑scope midwifery care—antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, GYN, annual examinations, and family planning. The role involves managing labor, performing triage, administering inductions, attending births, assisting with cesarean sections, and conducting postpartum rounds. Duties & Schedule The schedule is variable and typically includes two 8‑hour clinic shifts and one 24‑hour hospital/call shift within a 7‑day work week. The midwife will work in a supportive hospital culture with pain‑control options such as nitrous oxide, IV medications, and epidurals. Qualifications & Licensing Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) certification. Washington State RN and APNP licensure required at time of employment. DEA, NPI, and prescriptive authority. Current BLS for Health Providers certification. Location & Clinical Setting Clinic is located in West Seattle, WA. The site hosts 2 OB/GYN physicians and 2 CNMs. Midwives support hospital births and in‑house OB backup. St. Anne Hospital operates a 159‑bed Level III Trauma Center with a 22‑bed birth center and 24/7 anesthesia coverage. A 6‑bed Level II Special Care Nursery manages infants as young as 32 weeks. Partner facilities include St. Joseph Medical Center (Level III NICU) and Seattle Children’s for specialty newborn care. The group performs ~100 deliveries per month. Benefits & Compensation Annual salary range: $139,185 – $178,270.
