Job Summary:
The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse position is based in Overland Park, Kansas. This role entails providing specialized care for adult and geriatric patients with advanced monitoring needs. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The role involves working night shifts, with a focus on utilizing skills in cardiac telemetry, vascular access management, and post-procedural care within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Missouri or Compact License, 2 years of experience in a similar setting, BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications, Epic electronic medical record (EMR) proficiency, and experience with accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care/management, feeding tube care, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Neuro Stepdown, Post Cardiac Catheterization, Sheath Removal, and telemetry monitoring on the unit.
• Additional Information: Weekend shifts include a minimum of 8 shifts over a 6-week schedule period, with a combination of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Floating between departments, units, and facilities may be required as needed. Vaccination protocols include not requiring COVID-19 vaccination, but Flu vaccination is mandatory unless a medical or religious exemption applies.
