Die Cutter Operator – 2nd ShiftA well-established printing and packaging manufacturer in the Winston-Salem, NC area is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Die Cutter Operator to join its 2nd-shift production team.This is a priority opening for someone with hands-on die-cutting experience who can independently handle machine setup, changeovers, production runs, quality checks, and troubleshooting. Additional company information will be shared with qualified candidates during the interview process.What You'll Do:Set up and operate production die-cutting equipment.Perform machine setups, changeovers, and adjustments based on job specifications.Install and properly position dies, tooling, and production materials.Read and follow job tickets, production specifications, and work instructions.Monitor machine performance and finished-product quality throughout each run.Inspect work for accurate cutting, scoring, stripping, registration, and overall quality.Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain production and quality standards.Troubleshoot mechanical and production issues to minimize downtime and waste.Complete required production and quality documentation.Work with production, quality, maintenance, and other departments to keep jobs on schedule.Follow all plant safety procedures and equipment operating requirements.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.Assist with routine operator maintenance and communicate equipment problems when needed.What We're Looking For:Previous hands-on experience operating production die-cutting equipment.Printing, folding carton, packaging, or related manufacturing experience strongly preferred.Ability to independently perform setups and changeovers.Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.Experience identifying and correcting die-cutting quality issues.Understanding of cutting, scoring, stripping, registration, and finished-product quality.Ability to read job specifications and follow production procedures.Dependable attendance and availability to work 2nd shift.Strong focus on safety, quality, productivity, and reducing waste.Preferred Background:Folding carton or paperboard packaging experience.Experience in a commercial printing or packaging manufacturing environment.Experience operating high-speed production die-cutting equipment.Familiarity with production documentation and quality systems.Experience working in a plant focused on uptime, efficiency, waste reduction, and continuous improvement.Equipment / Technical Experience:Die-cutting equipment.Machine setup and changeovers.Die and tooling installation.Paperboard, carton stock, or related substrates.Cutting, scoring, stripping, and registration.In-process quality inspection.Mechanical troubleshooting and production adjustments.Routine operator maintenance.Production, waste, and quality documentation.Compensation & Benefits:Hourly pay.2nd-shift differential.Overtime availability.Medical, dental, and vision insurance.Paid time off and holidays.401(k)/retirement plan.Additional company benefits.Relocation assistance.Why This Opportunity Stands Out:This is a priority opening with an established printing and packaging manufacturer that needs an experienced operator who can contribute quickly.
