CAMPAIGN REGISTRATION SUPPORT ANALYST

Campaign Registration Support Analyst Salary: $3,861.00 – $6,276.00 per month. Overview The Secretary of State’s Office, Political Reform Division, is seeking a limited‑term, full‑time Analyst I to support the California Automated Lobbyist and Campaign Contribution and Expenditure Search System (CAL‑ACCESS). The incumbent will receive on‑the‑job training to gain in‑depth knowledge of laws, regulations, and terminology related to lobbying and campaign registration and disclosure requirements. Working Conditions This position is not eligible for telework. The work is performed in an indoor office setting and requires the incumbent to have basic office skills and the ability to use standard office equipment. Responsibilities Under the general direction of the Campaign Unit Supervisor I, this role involves a wide variety of increasingly complex and analytical tasks associated with the processing and review of registration and disclosure documents filed under the campaign and lobbying provisions of the Political Reform Act. Minimum Requirements Refer to the Class Specification for details. Classification: Analyst I. Desired Qualifications Ability to properly apply laws, rules, policies, and procedures. Ability to research and analyze data, solve moderately complex problems, and recommend effective courses of action. Highly detailed and accurate organizational skills. Creative thinking skills. Excellent customer service skills, including experience with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent communication skills. Interest in learning the importance of transparency in campaign finance and knowledge of filer types, filing schedules, and disclosure forms required by the Political Reform Act. Benefits Salary range: $3,861.00 – $6,276.00 per month. Effective July 1, 2025, state employees may be subject to temporary wage reductions in exchange for Personal Leave Program (PLP) accruals. The salary range(s) included in this job advertisement do not reflect the temporary salary reduction.
