We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team and partner with the Director of Nursing in overseeing the Nursing Department. What You'll Do

In partnership with the Director of Nursing, you will provide leadership and direction for nursing operations and help ensure the delivery of safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.

Clinical & Nursing Leadership

• Lead and support nursing staff in the delivery of resident-centered care.

• Interpret, implement, and monitor nursing, administrative, and resident-care policies and procedures.

• Establish and maintain high standards of nursing practice and quality care.

• Assess, coordinate, plan, and implement systems that support excellent clinical outcomes.

• Ensure nursing personnel follow established policies, procedures, and standards of practice.

• Conduct regular staff meetings and provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback.

• Support appropriate staffing levels and maintain the Master Staffing Plan.

• Ensure nursing units have the supplies, equipment, linens, and resources needed to provide quality care.

Regulatory & Compliance Leadership

• Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, OBRA, Joint Commission, and other regulatory requirements.

• Support regulatory surveys and inspections and assist with responding to identified opportunities.

• Oversee required clinical systems, programs, documentation, and reporting.

• Review incident and accident reports and ensure appropriate follow-up.

• Participate in investigations involving resident concerns, allegations of abuse, and other reportable events.

• Oversee CMI data collection and submission as required.

• Promote resident rights, dignity, safety, and quality of life.

Quality Improvement & Interdisciplinary Collaboration

• Actively participate in QA/PI, Infection Control, Safety, Ethics, Leadership , and other committees.

• Analyze clinical and operational data to identify opportunities for improvement.

• Lead and/or support performance improvement initiatives based on measurable outcomes.

• Collaborate with physicians, therapy, social services, dietary, activities, administration, and other departments to meet resident needs.

• Participate in the pre-admission screening process and help ensure appropriate clinical placement.

• Communicate recommendations, concerns, and department outcomes to Administration and the Director of Nursing.

Staff Development & Engagement

• Serve as a positive role model and mentor for nursing professionals.

• Support new-hire orientation and required nursing education.

• Coordinate with department leaders to ensure new employees complete required training.

• Ensure annual mandatory education and competencies are completed.

• Participate in ongoing in-service education, professional development, and employee training initiatives.

• Promote a culture where staff feel supported, accountable, and empowered to provide excellent care.

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.

• Minimum 4 years of nursing administration/leadership experience .

• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute-care setting.

• Current CPR/BLS certification .

• Strong knowledge of nursing regulations, standards of care, and regulatory compliance.

• Strong computer and documentation skills.

• Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with residents, families, visitors, physicians, and staff.

• Ability to work effectively with the geriatric and sub-acute population.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or degree in Health Administration.

• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, sub-acute, or geriatric care .

• Experience with QA/PI, infection prevention, regulatory surveys, staffing, and clinical performance improvement.

• Additional language skills are a plus.
