A contracted opportunity is now available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to guide elementary students in a resource room setting near Cottage Grove, OR. This full-time position provides the chance to make a lasting impact on young learners who need personalized instruction and care.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience with elementary school caseloads preferred
- Ability to design and implement IEPs tailored to student needs
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Comfort managing a caseload of approximately 25 students
- Resourceful, patient, and enthusiastic about inclusive education
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to elementary students in a resource room environment
- Develop, review, and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, specialists, and parents to foster success
- Track student progress and document data to adjust instructional strategies
- Create a positive, supportive atmosphere where all learners can thrive
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
