Step into a vibrant educational setting and support student growth as a Special Education Teacher with two immediate contract openings in Northeast Minneapolis. This opportunity runs from September 8, 2026, through June 10, 2027, with hours from 7:15 AM to 3:30 PM, totaling 38.75 hours per week. There are two positions available: one in an Elementary Setting III classroom and the other at the Middle School level. Candidates holding a Tier 3 or 4 teaching license are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher licensure; Tier 3 or 4 preferred
• Experience working in elementary or middle school settings
• Deep knowledge of instructional strategies for students with diverse learning needs
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families
• Adaptability and a passion for fostering inclusive classrooms

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction adapted to individual student needs
• Create, monitor, and update IEPs while ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Foster a supportive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
• Work closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and goals
• Participate in professional development, school meetings, and collaborative problem-solving
