About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Fund Accounting to take on a pivotal role within the organization. This is not a traditional back-office position; the successful candidate will be at the forefront, leading fund reporting, and working closely with deal teams, tax, compliance, and leadership. The role is highly influential, with a focus on shaping the future of the finance function as the firm continues to scale. Responsibilities include leading and mentoring the fund accounting team, overseeing the full accounting and reporting lifecycle for investment funds and GP entities, managing various financial processes, driving the audit and tax process, and supporting fundraising and investor reporting initiatives. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years' of experience in private equity fund accounting, a strong knowledge of fund structures and related complexities, and a CPA and/or public accounting foundation. The role demands a professional who can thrive in a high-caliber, fast-moving, and collaborative environment, and who is adept at improving systems, workflows, and operational efficiency. The opportunity is not just about maintaining the current infrastructure but also about building, improving, and scaling the fund accounting function as new funds are raised.
