Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (7a–7p and 7p–7a)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in Antepartum, Labor and Delivery (including high-risk), Post-Partum, and Level 2 Nursery settings
• Adhere to AWHONN staffing guidelines based on patient acuity; maintain staffing ratios of 1:1 for labor and 1:3 for post-partum
• Practice baby-friendly unit standards and provide care for antepartum and post-partum patients
• Care for clean gynecological surgical patients as needed
• Utilize EPIC (Community Works) for charting and Pyxis for medication management
• Float to other units (e.g., med-surg, emergency department) in rotation with permanent staff during surge situations

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience; 2 or more years preferred
• Experience in Labor and Delivery, Post-Partum, and Level 2 Nursery required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current NRP certification required
• EFM competency required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of OB/GYN nursing experience in a comparable setting
• Familiarity with EPIC (Community Works) charting system
• Experience caring for high-risk Labor and Delivery patients
