Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adults in a medical-surgical unit during night shifts, including monitoring, assessment, and timely intervention.
- Perform admission and ongoing assessments, monitor vital signs, and document changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; monitor patient responses and adverse effects.
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other disciplines to develop and implement care plans; participate in rounds and handoffs.
- Support step-down/intermediate care needs as appropriate; respond to patient and family concerns; ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Utilize standard nursing protocols and electronic health records to document care, progress, and discharge planning.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia (GA RN license) or eligibility to practice in GA
- Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIH Certification (as applicable)
- Minimum two years of recent experience in Med Surg or related step-down/intermediate care settings
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a hospital environment
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity med-surg/PCU-type setting
- Note: No local candidates within 50 miles
