The City is seeking a knowledgeable and results oriented Landscape Maintenance Supervisor who will effectively lead a team of maintenance crew members and equipment operators in the administration of the City's landscape and maintenance programs.

Primary responsibilities include overseeing operations of City landscape construction and maintenance programs; managing and supervising work crews; planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the performance of assigned staff; creating and distributing reports; developing budgets; preparing and editing landscape and irrigation construction plans; developing scopes of work and site maps; documenting and reporting costs; and attending after-hours meetings as needed.

This position requires working after hours emergency and on call duties as necessary.

The ideal candidate should possess six or more years of increasingly responsible landscape maintenance experience, including one year of lead supervisory responsibility; a high school diploma supplemented by college level course work in landscape architecture, horticulture, forestry or related field; ability to effectively motivate and lead others; ability to exercise good judgment, and make effective, timely and informed decisions; ability to work and communicate effectively with different stakeholders such as residents; State of California Department of Pesticide Regulations Qualified Applicator Certificate Categories B & C; International Society of Arboriculture Certification; and a valid Class C California driver's license.
