Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Lower acuity ICU position treating general ICU, stroke (TNK), COVID, medical, surgical, behavioral health, overdose, post cardiac arrest, and ventilator patients
• Patient ratio of 1:2-3 (days and nights), acuity based
• 2-3 years of ICU experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Required skills include reading/interpreting strips, ventilator management, chest tubes, tracheostomies, line management, proning experience, and bedside and nursing station telemonitoring
• Charting system: EPIC; Equipment: Alaris and Pyxis
• Must be comfortable floating to the cardiac unit
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• Holiday expectations vary based on unit needs
• On-call schedule varies based on unit needs
• One orientation shift to learn workflow
• Scrub color: Any, professional
• Free parking available for employees in designated areas

Facility:

This facility is a 101-bed Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center located in Sheboygan, WI. The ICU consists of 11 beds and is supported by CNAs at a 1:7 ratio, a charge nurse who takes patient assignments, respiratory therapy available 24/7, hospitalists available 24/7, an ICU educator, and OT, PT, and ST services on weekdays with variable weekend availability. An intensivist is on-site from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM with eICU coverage from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
