Practice Setting and Clinical Scope Join a community-based hospital renowned for its commitment to patient care and clinical excellence. As a sole provider in the department, you'll have the autonomy and responsibility to manage a broad spectrum of urological conditions. The facility boasts a well-equipped clinic and operating rooms, ensuring you have everything needed to deliver top-notch care. With an average of 20-25 patients per day and 20-30 surgeries per month, your expertise will be pivotal in maintaining the high standards of care expected by patients and colleagues alike. Schedule and Assignment Details The role requires a minimum of three months of locum coverage, with the possibility of extension. The schedule includes clinic hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., night call from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m., and 24-hour call on a rotational basis every 1 to 6 days. Weekend work is limited but necessary to ensure comprehensive patient coverage. Candidates should be prepared to acclimate quickly and manage weekend calls after their initial week on the job. Support and Work Environment Experience a collegial and supportive work atmosphere where teamwork is paramount. You'll be backed by a dedicated crew of two RNs, a medical assistant, a surgery scheduler, and front office staff, all working together to ensure seamless patient flow and care delivery. The use of Epic EMR facilitates efficient patient record management and enhances communication across departments. Qualifications Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Urology, with a preference for those with recent residency completion. Active WA medical license or eligibility for IMLC licensure. Candidates without a current WA license must obtain one upon selection. Current ACLS, BLS, and DEA certification required, with the possibility of obtaining certifications post-selection if not already held. Ability to handle a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced setting, demonstrating exceptional clinical and patient communication skills. Clean malpractice history is highly preferred.
