Iowa Orthopedic Surgeon Permanent Opportunity
Orthopedic Trauma and Adult Reconstruction • Level III Trauma Center • Inpatient Monday-Friday Role • Shared Call Rotation

Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an MD orthopedic surgeon for a permanent position in Iowa at a Level III Trauma Center. This 100% inpatient role provides structured weekday clinical coverage with shared evening and weekend call, backed by dedicated APP support and dedicated trauma operating room block time.

Opportunity Details

• Location: Iowa
• Assignment Type: Permanent
• Setting: Level III Trauma Center
• Coverage: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (inpatient)
• Call: Shared evening and weekend call (1:8)
• Opportunity focus: Orthopedic Trauma surgery and/or Adult Reconstruction/Total Joint Surgery
• Postoperative clinic support included
• Dedicated APP support
• Dedicated trauma OR block time

Clinical Scope

• Provide orthopedic inpatient surgical care within a Level III Trauma Center environment
• Manage complex orthopedic trauma cases and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
• Perform orthopedic traumatology procedures and/or adult reconstruction/total joint surgery based on specialty training
• Participate in shared evening and weekend call as part of the inpatient coverage model
• Coordinate postoperative care with postoperative clinic support

Requirements

• MD degree
• Fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon
• Expertise in Orthopedic Traumatology or Adult Reconstruction/Total Joint Surgery
• Board Certified or Board Eligible status in Orthopedics (as applicable)
• Active Iowa medical license

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing high-acuity orthopedic surgical cases in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Comfort working in collaborative, multispecialty teams
