Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

Additional Details:

Unit Details: - General surgeries, orthopedics, Med/Tele, COPD, stroke, diabetes, and other general med-surg populations. - General med-surg RN skills including IV starts, drain/tube management, wound care, NGT placement, and central line management. - Will manage non-titrating cardiac drips: Cardizem and Amiodarone, Heparin gtts, and blood products. - Support includes CNA assistance, HUC/receptionist, charge nurse generally without patient assignment with additional team lead support, phlebotomy team, IV/VAT team, RT 24/7, and hospitalist 24/7. - Telemetry monitoring is centralized to the 4th floor, 24/7. - Uses Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell med dispensing, Phillips monitors, and general med-surg equipment with tele monitors. - LPN ratio 1:5-6; CNA ratio 1:8-9.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - No call. - Travelers will work 75% of holidays. - Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks.

Special Requests: - RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays; must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.

Floating Requirements: - Within region and scope of practice. - May float as needed to Region 2 facilities: Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, Central Division (CMC Main, CMC Mercy, and Levine Children’s Hospital).

6 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
