Associate Director, Portfolio Contract Strategy

AstraZeneca seeks an Associate Director to develop and implement contract strategies for its biopharmaceutical portfolio across key market access channels. The role combines financial analytics, negotiation support, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize pricing and access for innovative medicines in cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and diabetes areas.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and shepherd contract strategies through governance and approval processes
  • Partner with customer-facing teams on prioritized initiatives and negotiation strategies
  • Monitor market trends and competitive conditions affecting brand and therapeutic area pricing
  • Coordinate with operations teams on rebates, chargebacks, and contract administration
  • Assess financial justification and performance of existing contract strategies and offerings

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing, Science, Economics, or Finance
  • 3+ years pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience
  • Market Access and healthcare delivery systems knowledge with policy understanding
  • Analytical skills in problem-solving, forecasting, and financial modeling
  • Demonstrated negotiation and relationship-building capabilities
  • Solution-oriented and innovation mindset

Compensation: $147,200-$220,500 base
