Associate Director, Market Access Strategy

AstraZeneca seeks an Associate Director to develop and execute market access strategies for the inhaled respiratory portfolio. The role involves collaborating across functions to shape payer negotiations, affordability programs, and customer communications while managing budgets and field sales alignment.

Responsibilities

  • Shape and implement market access strategies for inhaled respiratory product portfolio
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop value propositions and customer education materials
  • Develop and manage affordability programs and pricing strategies with payers and health systems
  • Design pharmacy engagement and distribution strategies aligned with overall access objectives
  • Lead field sales market access initiatives including HCP messaging and access challenge resolution

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3-5 years progressive pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical experience in payer marketing, brand marketing, contracting, or health economics
  • Strong knowledge of US market access landscape and pharmaceutical regulatory environment
  • Ability to translate strategic vision into tactical execution across complex matrix organizations
  • Results-oriented with excellent communication, collaboration, and financial competence
  • Demonstrated leadership and consensus-building skills at multiple organizational levels
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%
