About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: ED/MS Swing RN Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: One year of MedSurg experience Description: Clinical interview and auto offer. 50-mile radius rule applies. Cannot have worked permanent or PRN within the last 12 months. Unit Cost Center has 22 beds. Ratios are 1 to 4 for acute care, 1 to 6 for swing bed patients. Emergency department ratios are 1 to 4. RNs must titrate drips. Common titratable and/or set rate drips are utilized. Charge Nurse and House Supervisor roles are available. Certified nursing assistants are present on the unit. RNs are responsible for reading telemetry strips. The unit is equipped with NEBS, O2 nasal, masks, and vents which are used in transport. CPAPs may be available for swing bed patients. Shifts are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Weekend requirement is every other weekend. Holiday requirement is every other holiday. Floating to other units may be required as needed. Flex time may be necessary. Unit-specific orientation will be provided. Cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shifts to be canceled during the assignment. Charting system used is EPIC. BSN is not required. Trauma level is unspecified. Care setting is acute. Division is nursing. Shift notes indicate a structured schedule with expected duties.
