Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support warehouse operations in Inglewood, CA. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate receipt, inspection, documentation, and shipment of fresh flowers and fish products.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, maintain high standards of accuracy, and contribute to exceptional service for customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive inbound shipments of flowers, fish, and related products.
- Verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documentation.
- Inspect products for quality, quantity, and damage upon arrival.
- Accurately enter receiving and shipping information into warehouse management systems.
- Prepare and process outbound shipments according to customer requirements and delivery schedules.
- Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, and other transportation documents.
- Coordinate with warehouse personnel, drivers, vendors, and customers to ensure timely product movement.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper documentation and cycle counting.
- Organize and stage products for shipment while following handling requirements for perishable goods.
- Monitor and report inventory discrepancies, damaged products, and shipment issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all safety procedures, food safety standards, and quality control guidelines.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Experience working with perishable products, food distribution, floral products, or live animal handling is a plus.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and inventory management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM.
Overtime and weekend work may be required during peak business periods.
