Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

This is a 13-week contract position with 12-hour day shifts, requiring weekends as scheduled.

The Labor and Delivery unit is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care for patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. The ideal candidate will be prepared to manage a variety of patient needs related to childbirth, including stabilization and transportation of patients as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery setting.
• Monitor patients, assess needs, and implement appropriate interventions.
• Assist with triage and manage a variety of situations involving labor and postpartum recovery.
• Circulate C-sections as needed when the OR team is not present.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, including Nurse Midwives and on-call providers.
• Participate in the rotation of holidays and on-call shifts as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe patient environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring.
• Experience in Labor and Delivery, with specific skills in circulating C-sections.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to changing healthcare environments.
