Assistant Preschool Teacher at Fruit Of The Vine Child Development Center. Location: Los Angeles, CA Job Summary Reporting to the Lead Preschool Teacher, the Assistant Preschool Teacher is responsible for providing direct care and supervision to children at the center. Experience Requirements The Assistant Preschool Teacher must have a minimum of 6 months of experience working in a childcare center or with groups of children under the age of 5. Key Responsibilities Provide direct care and supervision to children at the center. Duties: Perform classroom routines Ensure safety and physical well-being of all children Take children to engaging parts of the environment or bring interesting things to them Maintain personal contact between caregiver and child according to policy Prepare food, feed, and clean toilet areas after each use Follow a regular cleaning schedule for walls, floors, rugs, tables, and beddings; schedule posted publicly Keep all child records, needs and services forms, and teachers’ records up to date Administer daily health check when a child arrives at the center Other duties as needed Benefits Paid Time Off after a 90-day probationary period Training opportunities provided Positive and supportive work environment Family-style dining experience Community activities participation Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Assistant Teacher Permit or Associate's Degree.
