Hours: 40 hours per week
Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour (W-2)
Contract: 2-month contract with possible extension
Position Overview:

Client's is seeking an experienced Phlebotomist II - 1st Shift to collect blood specimens, assist patients, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing. The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the company, providing professional and compassionate patient care while ensuring specimen collection accuracy, patient confidentiality, and compliance with established procedures.

The selected candidate may work at a Patient Service Center (PSC), a physician's office, or other locations based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens accurately and safely from patients.
• Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing according to established procedures.
• Demonstrate excellent phlebotomy skills when working with pediatric, geriatric, and other patient populations.
• Verify patient demographic information and initials, and obtain the patient's signature following venipuncture as required.
• Ensure specimen tubes are labeled correctly in the patient's presence.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Provide a professional, welcoming environment that promotes patient trust and confidence.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, dress code requirements, and confidentiality standards.
• Complete daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
• Manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Travel between multiple locations when required, including PSC and in-office phlebotomy locations, sometimes with minimal notice.
• Maintain flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime based on staffing needs.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary blood collection.
• Excellent venipuncture and specimen collection skills.
• Keyboarding and data-entry experience.
• Ability to perform accurate, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, if applicable to travel requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Phlebotomy certification.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training.
• At least 2 years of experience working in a Patient Service Center environment.
• Customer service experience in a retail or service-oriented setting.
