Overview
Sonographer / Ultrasound Tech – Ultrasound specialty in Burlington, Vermont, United States. This travel temporary assignment starts 08/27/2026 and runs for 4 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,367 to $2,491 per week with no guaranteed hours. The shift is four 10-hour nights (Sun–Wed, 8:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m.). The assignment takes place within a large teaching health system with two campus sites.

Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound examinations across abdomen, gynecology, vascular, and breast imaging per department protocols; include ultrasound-guided breast biopsies as required.
- Optimize image quality and patient positioning; maintain sterile technique and equipment calibration; adhere to ARDMS scope.
- Operate ultrasound equipment and document findings; provide preliminary results for radiologist review and communicate with the care team.
- Document in the electronic medical record (Epic experience within the past 2 years is required) and ensure accurate patient data and exam coding.
- Maintain patient safety, comfort, and privacy; coordinate with breast care center services and other specialties as needed.
- Ensure timely exam turnaround and participate in continuous quality improvement and credentialing activities.

Requirements
- Licensure: License on file at time of submission
- Certifications: ARDMS certification in abdomen, gyn, and vascular; BLS; Ultrasound Tech Certification Verification (Equivalency)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience; experience in a breast care center; experience performing breast biopsies; large teaching hospital experience required; Epic experience within the past 2 years is required and nonnegotiable
- Education: Not specified in notes
- Other: Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced setting; reliable transportation (public transit not available in the area); four 10-hour night shifts (Sun–Wed); destination travel assignment
