Duration: 12-Months Temp to Hire

Pay :$18.50/hr on w2 (Weekly )
Days (12 hour shift, 5:45am – 6:00pm) 2-2-3 schedule

Job Description

Packaging Operator I

The Packaging Operator I is an entry-level position at the Mt. Vernon facility. This role is responsible for packaging operations, general cleaning, and providing break relief as needed. The position primarily works within the production area and supports overall plant operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Spot outbound trucks into material loading docks and ensure dock locks are properly engaged
• Reclaim off-quality Unbonded Loosefill material and refeed it into the forehearth
• Place bags on bagger equipment snouts to ensure proper packaging of finished goods
• Perform general housekeeping and cleanup duties in assigned areas, including but not limited to:
• Sweeping floors
• Blowing down production lines and robots
• Cleaning break rooms and common areas
• Assist with Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities
• Perform special tasks and assignments as directed by plant staff
• Participate in plant safety, housekeeping, and continuous improvement programs

Preferred Experience

1–3 years of manufacturing or production experience

• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong internal and external customer service skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations
