Location: Chicago, Illinois Hospital: Rush University Medical Center Department: Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences Work Type: Full Time Supportive Oncology Clinical Psychologist – Clinical Faculty Position: Clinical Psychologist at RUSH MD Anderson Cancer Center, Rush University Medical Center About Supportive Oncology Core program within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, fully integrated into the Rush University Cancer Center Multidisciplinary services to enhance health and well‑being for cancer patients and their loved ones across the entire care continuum Integral part of Comprehensive Care Beyond Cancer, including Supportive Oncology, High Risk, Survivorship, and Medical Subspecialties Current offerings include: Mental health care Integrative therapies Nutrition support Care management services and patient navigation Spiritual care Sexual health Committed to innovative, collaborative, and compassionate care that: Decreases distress and improves quality of life using tailored, evidence‑informed practices Reduces symptom burden from cancer or its treatment Connects patients to needed support through program growth and strong community partnerships Strong culture of diversity, inclusion, and advancing equity in healthcare Position Highlights Core member of Cancer Center multidisciplinary teams Provide psychological evaluation and intervention for patients and families in inpatient and ambulatory care settings Direct support to medical teams in inpatient and ambulatory cancer care settings Ample opportunities for: Program development Clinical research and scholarship Training and supervision Ideal Candidate Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from an APA‑accredited program Eligible for Illinois psychology license Strong clinical skills in psycho‑oncology or health psychology with medical populations (e.g., cardiology, transplant, oncology preferred) High potential for and interest in conducting research Passion for compassionate, patient‑centered care in a collaborative academic medical setting Pay Range: $115,233 - $172,012 Compensation includes base pay, benefits, and additional incentive programs.
