What You'll Do

As a Cook , you'll prepare nutritious, appetizing meals while ensuring the highest standards of food quality, sanitation, and safety.

Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing and cooking meals according to standardized recipes, production schedules, and therapeutic diet requirements

Ensuring food is prepared, portioned, and presented with quality and consistency

Monitoring and documenting food temperatures to maintain food safety standards

Receiving, storing, rotating, and managing food inventory using FIFO guidelines

Maintaining a clean and sanitized kitchen, equipment, and food preparation areas

Assisting with patient meal service and cafeteria food production as needed

Collaborating with dietary staff to ensure timely meal preparation and exceptional customer service

Following all food safety, sanitation, infection prevention, and regulatory guidelines

What We're Looking For

✔ High School Diploma or GED preferred

✔ Food Handler Certification required within 7 days of hire

✔ Previous cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare, school, or institutional setting preferred

✔ Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

✔ Ability to prepare meals in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen

✔ Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills

✔ Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
